Information Systems

Students will learn the latest information infrastructure technology, the backbone of the internet society. The curriculum covers a wide range of categories from fundamental mathematics, algorithms, networks, and security to web systems. By selecting courses from the other three specialized fields in addition to “Information Systems” courses, students will build foundations in information processing technology and develop practical skills vital for the digital society.

AI Technology

In “AI Technology,” students will learn about the advanced technologies including generative artificial intelligence which is based on machine learning and AI concepts. They will delve into the foundational algorithms of AI, generative AI and their applications in networks. Along with “AI Technology” courses, the curriculum is designed to help students build foundational AI knowledge through “Computer Science” courses and advance their knowledge/concepts through “Digital Game/Media” courses.

Business Data Science

Business Data Science

Students will acquire data analytical skills for finance and distribution systems leveraging information. They will learn how to manage and apply data in business fields. By focusing on the courses in “Business Data Science” and selecting courses from “Information Systems” and “AI Technology” supplementarily, mature learners can gain statistical skills essential for businesses, along with skills and knowledge in information systems and AI technologies

Digital Game/Media

Digital Game/Media

Students will gain programming and project management skills vital to game development, and character design skills essential for game design. In Media Production, students will learn how to utilize media information — video editing and video streaming in video production. By taking courses from the other three specialized fields, students can apply information processing techniques for games and media images in “Information Systems” and “AI technology” courses.

    Web System Programming

    Web System Programming
    Increased capacity and speed in telecommunication networks have fueled the demand for cloud computing. Students in this course will learn about web system structures, and acquire programming skills and knowledge essential for systems design and development through lectures and exercises. Students will build fundamental knowledge of network programming and get broader perspectives on network-related fields.

    (Learn about advanced technologies including generative AI which is based on machine learning and AI.)

    Computer Vision

    Computer Vision
    Recently, computer vision has been ubiquitous in many applications: product inspection systems on factory production lines; precise position detection in industrial robots; facial recognition in various devices including smartphones and drive-support systems in automobiles. After learning about fundamentals of digital color images, students will acquire knowledge and concepts for various approaches to processing and analyzing images, and deep learning which has been widely used in computer vision.
  • Business Data Science

    (Learn data analytical skills for finance and distribution systems leveraging information.)

    Data Visualization

    Data Visualization
    In this course, students will learn about the required steps for data visualization, utilizing data processing methods, advanced multivariate analysis and machine learning techniques. After learning about the statistical analytical methods commonly used in business and medical fields, students will explore the latest visualization methods for different types and purposes. They encompass visualizing high-dimensional data, geodata, network data and time series data.
  • Digital Game/Media

    (Learn expressive techniques in game technology and media production.)

    Game Programming

    Game Programming
    Students in this course will learn about the fundamentals of object-oriented programming techniques using C++, vital knowledge for game development. Students will learn programming techniques for encapsulation, inheritance and polymorphism, key principles in object-oriented programming, through practical examples using design patterns.
